The debate over the use of previously protected sections of the existing GTA Greenbelt to build more housing — and whether developers were tipped off about it, despite government denials — is also expected to dominate the session. Interim Liberal leader John Fraser said the party’s MPPs will fight against for-profit health care and for the preservation of the Greenbelt.Article content“Doug Ford’s carving of the people’s Greenbelt has the strong stench of insider trading, and Ontario Liberals will work with other opposition parties in the legislature to discover the truth about who got advance notice of Doug Ford’s Greenbelt Giveaway,” Fraser said in a statement in advance of the upcoming session.
