😺 Most animalcrossing fans have already made many an island masterpiece in ACNH, so now's the time to head the other way and make a complete disaster with friends and family. 🔥
Instead of achieving perfection with every Animal Crossing: New Horizons island, the next phase should be creating a shared, hot mess of an island. New Horizons received its last major update in November 2021, meaning that every secret stone has been turned, every island crossover has been made - from a player recreating Luigi’s Mansion 3 to staging famous tv and movie scenes at Harv’s Island- and then it’s all been done again.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Animal Crossing: New Horizons was released for the Nintendo Switch in March 2020, quickly becoming a Nintendo classic and bestseller. Due in part to the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic and the subsequent closures, ACNH provided comfort and the perfect island getaway for players everywhere. There was much solace and joy to be found in designing a remote island from the ground up.
Share An ACNH Island And Bless This Mess Rather than focus on creating the next perfect island when it comes time to re-design, another underused idea is to make an island that’s open to all. Collaboration between friends, partners, or family might sound unnerving at first, but greatness comes from collaboration; after all, it does take a team of artists, developers, engineers, writers, and more to create a game like Animal Crossing.
New Horizons has seen masterpiece after masterpiece island designs, they’re beginning to get underwhelming. After making the perfect island, the next best thing is one hot mess of a collaboration. Becoming ACNH’s richest villager or crossbreeding the hardest hybrid flowers are admirable goals, but so is loosening up on the perfectionist idealism abundant in the Animal Crossing: New Horizons fan base.
