The trip is touted as a way to advance the province’s interests in cultural connections, trade and health-care innovation. This year’s tree, a 45-foot white spruce, has been donated appropriately by landowner Roddy Townsend and his children from Christmas Island on the shores of the Bras d’Or Lake in Cape Breton.
