HALIFAX, N.S. — Mental health and addiction organizations serving communities in Nova Scotia can now apply for new provincial funding to support their services and operations.

The new $4.6-million multi-year funding program allows organizations to apply for up to $250,000 each year over three years, with priority given to projects that help reduce barriers to access for members of underserved communities.It is the first of three programs under the $6.7-million mental health and addictions community wellness funding framework. Two other funding streams will be available later this year.

The application deadline is July 5 and the money is expected to be delivered by the end of September.It has been our privilege to have the trust and support of our East Coast communities for the last 200 years.
