The seniors care grant offers $500 to low-income seniors each year for things like lawn care, small household repairs, grocery and medication delivery, and transportation. The addition of the heating payment means that seniors applying for the grant will be eligible for a maximum of $750 this fiscal year.

To be eligible, people must be 65 or older, have an annual net household income of $37,500 or less and live independently in a home they own or rent, either by themselves or with a spouse or partner.
