Notre Dame baseball earns No. 1 overall seed in CIF-SS Division 1 playoffs
The Division 2 bracket is loaded with local teams. Burroughs will play at Lakewood in a wild-card game Wednesday. In the first round, Moorpark will host Dos Pueblos; Crescenta Valley will play at Ocean View; Crespi will play at Grace Brethren; Simi Valley will host West Torrance; Oaks Christian will play at Mater Dei; Calabasas will host Norco; and West Ranch will host Royal in a double-local matchup.
In Division 6, Campbell Hall was awarded the No. 2 seed and will play Providence or Santa Monica Prep. Trinity Classical Academy will play Desert Mirage or Costa Mesa in the first round. Castaic, which earned a playoff berth for the first time in program history by finishing third in the Foothill League in just its second year of varsity baseball, will take on Excelsior Charter in a wild-card game Wednesday. If Castaic wins, it will travel to Cypress Oxford Academy on Friday.
In Division 7, St. Geneveive – the No. 2 seed – will await the face the winner of the Gladstone-Fillmore St. Monica Academy wild-card game.
