LEIPSIC, Ohio — A Northwest Ohio farmer made a startling discovery Sunday, pulling a grenade from the ground of a field while checking on his crops, reports say.says the grenade was turned up during the planting of a corn crop. Haselman found the grenade while making a routine check of the field and says he momentarily picked it up.
“I just knelt down and noticed a rust sticking up top like a piece of metal or something that broke off a tillage tool,” Haselman tells WTOL. “So I actually grabbed it and pulled it out of the ground and realized what it was and I already had it in my hands.” Haselman contacted the Hancock Sheriff’s Office, which then called in the Northwest Ohio Bomb Team from Toledo,
