The Oroville Police Department and the Butte County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a man whom the agencies believe stabbed and killed an individual in November.
Daniel Shamblin, 39, of Oroville was placed under arrest Thursday after a struggle with law enforcement personnel.A warrant was filed for Shamblin on Nov. 23, a day after the stabbing incident took place. On Monday, the Sheriff’s Office began to aid in the investigation.
“During the attempted traffic stop, detectives realized Shamblin was also in the vehicle,” the release said. “Spoon immediately accelerated her vehicle, rammed an unmarked police vehicle, and almost hit a detective with her vehicle.”
