Several school districts in Northeast Ohio have canceled classes for Thursday, Jan. 27, because of concerns about extremely cold temperatures.

Temperatures will drop to the low single-digits by Thursday morning in Northeast Ohio, and wind chills will make it feel as cold as minus-15. CLEVELAND, Ohio — Dozens of Northeast Ohio school districts are canceling classes for Thursday, Jan. 27, as temperatures plummeted Wednesday night, with wind chills expected to be well-below zero by Thursday morning.

The National Weather Service issued a wind chill advisory for most of northern Ohio on Wednesday night. Temperatures are expected to be in the low single-digits Thursday morning, but wind chills could make it feel as cold as minus-15.Concerns about the cold conditions is leading to the cancellation of classes for Thursday by many school districts.
