The boy suffered bruising and fractures to his arms

A violent thug from Northampton has been put behind bars for over three years after physically attacking a young boy over a period of six months. The 'tiny and defenceless child' was routinely bruised and injured by Dwayne Gordon, 34.

Gordon inflicted a number of injuries to the defenceless boy's arms, including bruising and fractures between June 2018 and January 2019. Lake would later be charged for exposing her son to this abuse throughout the period. The pair were charged in connection with the offences on October 27, 2020. On May 26 2021, Lake pleaded guilty to one count of cruelty to a person under 16 years.

The pair were sentenced at Oxford Crown Court last Thursday, June 30. Gordon was sentenced to three years and four months’ behind bars and Lake was sentenced to a nine month suspended sentence with a 30-day rehabilitation activity requirement.
