Tragedy befell the Brossard family in North Olmsted earlier this year when on Jan. 30 their daughter, Brenna, 25, youngest of three children, passed away suddenly due to an epileptic seizure.

NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio --

Early on the family’s mourning process turned to awareness with an unimaginable response from friends and strangers alike. “We’re beaming with pride that so many people thought enough of Brenna and our family to contribute at such a level,” Brossard said. “We were told by the folks at Epilepsy Association that they’ve never had this level of donations on the app with an individual.

“Even as a family who has two members with epilepsy, we had no idea that the Epilepsy Association of Cleveland existed and certainly we had no idea about Purple Day,” Brossard said.
