Donald Stallworth III, 23, died from blunt force injuries associated with the crash, the coroner’s office said Tuesday.
Stallworth was riding his motorcycle at about 2:50 p.m. Monday when he collided with the ambulance at the intersection of Genesee and Lake streets.
The two paramedics in the ambulance were transporting a patient at the time of the accident. After the crash, they called for backup and began treating Stallworth, according to the fire department. He and the original patients were taken to a hospital, but Stallworth was pronounced dead from his injuries in the emergency room, authorities said.Officials have not released additional details of the accident, which is under investigation by the Waukegan police department.
