Sen. Thom Tillis announced Tuesday that he tested positive for COVID-19 and will be missing votes in the Senate this week.
Tillis said on X, formerly Twitter, on Tuesday morning that he would not be able to host the"Bipawtisan Howl-o-ween Dog Parade" due to his diagnosis and suggested that Sen. Mitt Romney take his place for the festive dog event.Unfortunately I have COVID and won’t be able to kick off today’s Bipawtisan Howl-o-ween Dog Parade. But believe me, it will all work out. Tillis first tested positive for COVID-19 in the early days of the pandemic in 2020 and quarantined at home in North Carolina.
