McLaren's Lando Norris has won his second race of the season.
. Fellow McLaren driver Oscar Piastri and Mercedes-Benz AMG's George Russell filled out the second row, followed by Red Bull's Sergio Perez and Leclerc in the third row. When the lights turned green, Verstappen made a brilliant start to jump into the lead before the first corner.
Norris kept his cool and prevented Verstappen from building too much of a gap, something that he was able to capitalize on at the end of lap 17 with an. Verstappen losing grip wasn't able to take back the position and started to fall back. From there, Norris continued to build a sizable gap and hold it to the finish line, even taking home a bonus point for the fastest lap in the process.
Russell and fellow Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton didn't seem to have the pace they enjoyed in recent races. They pushed hard in the final laps to close down on Perez and Sainz but were unable to get ahead.with 296 points. Norris is second with 225 points and Leclerc is third with 192 points. In the Constructors' Championship, Red Bull leads with 434 points. McLaren is second with 404 points and Ferrari is third with 370 points.
