The Bruins, coming off a 100-point outburst against Pepperdine, take on the Knights for the second season in a row at 4 p.m. Sunday at Pauley Pavilion
, highlighted by a career night from freshman guard Amari Bailey, who poured in 19 points with three 3-pointers. It was a good bounce-back victory for the Bruins after suffering two losses last weekend in Las Vegas. Six Bruins scored in double figures and walk-on Evan Manjikian hit a 3-pointer in his career debut as a Bruin to get UCLA to the 100-point mark.
Bellarmine made noise earlier this season when it beat Louisville 67-66. Since then, the Knights have lost four of their past five games, including an 80-59 loss to Loyola Marymount on Friday during their West Coast trip. The Knights are led by 6-foot-5 freshman guard Peter Suder, who scores 12.5 points per game. Bellarmine faced UCLA last year in Las Vegas at the T-Mobile Arena. The Bruins won 75-62, as then-freshman Peyton Watson scored a season-high 19 points on 9-of-12 shooting.
