All school bus routes previously disrupted when the English School District suspended its contract with Gladney’s have been restored.
The school board suspended the company’s contract February 11 due to safety and operational concerns, affecting a large number of bus routes from St. John’s to Mount Pearl, Paradise, Portugal Cove-St. Phillips and CBS. All affected routes will be served by existing contractors. The NLESD says some students may even recognize familiar drivers now working under other contractors.
Some buses used by Gladney’s have been inspected and approved and are now operating under the direction of different contractors.
