Music's Finest Paid Tribute To Nipsey Hussle With A Beautiful Grammys Performance
Since his untimely death, many members of the entertainment industry — specifically the hip-hop community — have continued to find ways to keep his memory alive and ensure his legacy lives on forever.And they did just that at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards last night. DJ Khaled, John Legend, Meek Mill, YG, Roddy Ricch, and Kirk Franklin took to the stage for a powerful tribute in Nispey's honor.
They sang lyrics like,"I remember I bawled out in tears when I saw your body / And the flight back home, had cold days in LA."Then DJ Khaled and John Legend delivered a special rendition of their song"Higher," which featured Nispey. There wasn't a dry eye in the room, especially when the full choir and Kirk Franklin joined them.To close out the tribute, YG, a fellow LA native and close friend of Nipsey, delivered the final verse.
