On Saturday, the Horton high school vice-principal and his golf partner Tim Charles were crowned the inaugural champions of the BDO National Golf League at Hamilton Golf and Country Club in Ancaster, Ont.

Morse and Charles, of Kentville, defeated New Brunswick’s Reid Middleton and Brian Thorne in a playoff during a Saturday round which was stopped twice due to inclement weather. Morse drained a lengthy putt on the 18th green to secure the victory.
