“I think it was something that was certainly a consideration,” Seravalli said when asked about whether Fleury-to-Toronto was a possibility before the veteran. “And whatever reporting was out there that Marc-Andre Fleury had no interest in playing in Toronto, or had nixed the idea of it last spring during the trade deadline, I think that was always overblown.
While both situations seem set to close as expected, Seravalli believes it’s not necessarily a given.
