The NHL and NHLPA announced the winner of the FutureGoalsSTEM Most Valuable Teacher contest, who will receive $30,000 in new technology for their classroom.
The Future Goals Most Valuable Teacher contest was launched in January to celebrate teachers making a difference across North America.
A field of 36 dynamic teachers was narrowed down to three finalists in a public vote and a second vote to determine the winner took place from May 4-8 during Teacher Appreciation Week.powered by EVERFI combines STEM learning with a hockey-based curriculum for elementary and middle-school-aged students. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the NHL and NHLPA have expanded the program to be free remotely for families who are now learning together from home.
