The final day of July brings the final day without post-season hockey, the calm before Saturday's storm. With the first games of the NHL's 2020 qualifying round nearly here, EmmySadler catches you up on all the latest goings-on inside the league's hubs:
Montreal’s promising prospect, who has spent the past two seasons in the KHL since being drafted in the second round in 2018, signed his three-year entry-level deal with the club earlier this month with the intention of coming over to North America for Phase 4.
Though he’s not eligible to take part in any games, being in the bubble means he can practice and work out with the team while getting his first taste of life in the NHL. Because his entry-level contract includes the 2019-20 season, he’ll already have burned a year off his deal when he’s able to suit up for the team next season.
