The Seahawks host the Cowboys at Lumen Field in Week 2 of the 2023 NFL preseason.
The Seattle Seahawks had some big plays on offense, defense, and special teams on their way to a 22-14 win over the Dallas Cowboys . Early-round draft picks Zach Charbonnet, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and Derick Hall all had big in-game moments, but don’t forget about the undrafted rookies like Jake Bobo, John Hall, Levi Bell, SaRodorick Thompson, and Tyjon Lindsey.
Geno Smith and most of the Seahawks first-team offense got a couple of a series, while many starters on defense like Uchenna Nwosu, Jarran Reed, and Dre’Mont Jones saw their first preseason action. Smith and Drew Lock both went 5/6, but Lock had over 100 yards passing and some big-time throws while playing along side the first-team offensive line.
Backed up at their own 4, Geno returned to the game for a second possession and found rookie sensation Jake Bobo on a slant-and-go route for 28 yards. Rookie running back Zach Charbonnet then dashed for a 29-yard gain to put Seattle inside Dallas’ 40. Geno was sacked by Sam Williams on 3rd and 6, but that wasn’t an issue for Jason Myers, who drilled one from 57.
