It will be interesting to see what, if any, types of peaceful protests the players stage once the season begins, and how the league responds. Four years ago, when then-San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick beganracism and social injustices, he and his peers drew strong criticism, and Kaepernick’s stance essentially earned him banishment from the league the following offseason.
