Less than 48 hours after landing in Saskatchewan, dozens of Ukrainian evacuees were able to meet with a variety of local companies and organizations that will make their lives in Saskatchewan easier.
CBC NewsLess than 48 hours after they touched down in Regina, dozens of people fleeing the war in Ukraine were getting their new lives in order at a city hotel. It was described as "one-stop shopping" for them to get the documents they would need right away.
We want to help people who want to stay here and want to make our own community where people can meet, drink some coffee and speak about everything in our native language.In addition to government agencies and corporations, volunteers such as Maria Chaikovska and Valentyn Stoliarchuk were at the hotel event Friday to welcome the newcomers.
