A Corner Brook RCMP officer has been charged in connection with an investigation launched by SIRT-NL. FileST. JOHN'S, N.L. — Newfoundland and Labrador's police watchdog has charged an RCMP officer in Corner Brook in connection with a drug investigation requested by the RCMP.
Mike King, director of the province's Serious Incident Response Team , said Const. Mike Hann is charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, unauthorized use of a computer and breach of trust. King said an investigation was launched after the RCMP notified him that an officer was allegedly involved in illegal activity. Following the report, King directed that SIRT-NL take over the investigation.Hann is scheduled to face charges in court on April 18.It has been our privilege to have the trust and support of our East Coast communities for the last 200 years.
