First loss on home ice comes as the Pups head on a three-game road trip
Newfoundland's only other loss came over two weeks ago when they fell to the Worcester Railers in overtime.Despite the loss, the Growlers won two of their three games with the Mariners, and have won five of their last six games at home.They also beat the Mariners 5-0 on Nov. 16. Prior to that, Newfoundland swept a three-game series with the Norfolk Admirals.
Newfoundland has the second-highest number of goals in the conference and has allowed the second-least number of goals. Meanwhile, goaltender Luke Cavallin is a perfect 7-0-0 this season with a 1.56 goals-against average. They’ll play the Mariners again on Nov. 26 before returning home for six straight games, starting on Dec. 2.
