In their first game of the day the Curtis team defeated Hailey Birnie and her Yukon rink 11-4. As a team, Team NL curled at an 86 per cent clip, with lead Camille Burt leading the way after shooting at a rate of 94 per cent.Curtis shot 88 per cent on 16 attempts against Birnie. While Jones won 7-4, the match was close until the end. Curtis came back from down 3-0 in the early going and was trailing 5-4 when Jones scored 2 in the ninth end to seal the game.
