Hogan says everyone seems willing to play a role in tackling Happy Valley-Goose Bay’s transient issue
Justice Minister John Hogan outside the legislature. SaltWire File PhotoHAPPY VALLEY-GOOSE BAY, N.L. — Justice and Public Safety Minister John Hogan says there’s no magic bullet to solve the long-standing issue of transients in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, but everyone is on the same page.
“Certainly, people acknowledge that there’s not a one-size-fits-all answer to every individual. Everyone has been very sympathetic towards people’s needs.” “One of the things I’ve learned is that anything that the provincial government has done to try and assist the community is not necessarily being communicated to the community, so that leads to a sense of frustration,” he said. “Of course, frustration could lead to worsening things down the road, and that’s the kind of thing we want to avoid.”
