New York, New Jersey and Connecticut will require visitors from certain states with worsening coronavirus outbreaks to quarantine for 14 days

in a joint press conference by Govs. Andrew Cuomo, Phil Murphy and Ned Lamont, goes into effect at midnight and will be applicable to start for visitors from Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Utah, Texas and Washington State.

Cuomo added that enforcement would be up to each of the three states and visitors who violate the advisory in New York could be “subject to a judicial order and mandatory quarantine,” with fines ranging from $2,000 to $10,000.
