Inspector Annette Fellner most recently served as chief officer at the Mission RCMP detachment
Fellner, a 23-year veteran who most recently served as chief officer at the Mission RCMP detachment, replaces Supt. Sean Maloney, who retired in March to take a job at Fisheries and Oceans Canada.
“I am honoured for the opportunity to lead the women and men at the Coquitlam RCMP who exemplify excellence in policing on a daily basis,” Fellner said in a release. “I am looking forward to starting my new chapter with the RCMP and being part of the strong team that contributes to the safety and security of Anmore, Belcarra, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and the Kwikwetlem First Nation.”
Fellner’s start date has not yet been confirmed but is anticipated she’ll take over sometime this summer. In the meantime, Inspector Julie Drotar will continue as the acting officer-in-charge for Coquitlam RCMP.
