A new graphic novel pokes fun at a trope some readers have noticed over the years, that many Black superheroes like Static have a common superpower: lightning. Static, Black Lightning, Vulcan, Bumblebee, and Juice all have lightning abilities, and that's just the DC side of things. Name-dropping Marvel lightning specialists like Storm only lengthens this list more than it already is.

It is also worth noting that the graphic novel doesn't seem to be making some bolstering commentary or negative indictment against the trope either. If nothing else, it's just a funny coincidence that's worth teasing.
