Barci Enterprises, led by Frank Barci and his investment partner Carlos Lopes, have purchased a two-acre lot co-owned by the Town of New Glasgow and the Municipality of Pictou County . On it, they will buildA trip to see the property in person, suggested by a business associate, sold Barci on the location. It is situated off the busy East River Road, which sees 30,000 vehicles a day, and is near not only the Aberdeen Hospital and the Trans-Canada Highway but also malls and downtown New Glasgow.
Barci also said he was impressed by the fact that the hotel he had stayed in while assessing the location was full in the middle of the week and could tell right away there was a need for more accommodations. “They’ll have a place they can stay and cook their own meals instead of having to go out to a restaurant,” Barci said. These suites should be particularly of interest for workers staying in the area temporarily or for people with family staying at the Aberdeen Hospital for an extended period, along with other events such as sports and concerts.
