Toyota teases the Land Cruiser’s return on social media.
With that in mind, we can expect to see a lot of the same underpinnings heading to the Land Cruiser that we already see in Toyota’s lineup. That means the 3.4-liter turbocharged V6 and the i-Force Max hybrid system could be the potential powertrain options. It’s hard to say how hardcore the next-gen Land Cruiser will be, but a locking rear differential as seen in the GX is likely going to be the bare minimum.
More information about the upcoming Land Cruiser is slated to come this year. It’s not clear when Toyota plans to launch the next Land Cruiser, but considering the company’s recent efforts with the new Tundra and Tacoma, we are expecting a quicker launch cycle than the Supra.
