There's new legal fallout over a drunk driving crash involving former Greece Police Chief Drew Forsythe.
FILE - Former Greece Police Chief Drew Forsythe was charged with DWAI for crashing a department-issued SUV on Interstate 390 Oct. 20, 2021. Forsythe resigned just days after the crash, and now, former Greece Police Sgt. Bryan Root is suing the Town of Greece for what he calls retaliation over his response to the crash.
It was Oct. 20, 2021 when Forsythe crashed his department-issued SUV into a guardrail on Interstate 390. He claimed he tried to avoid a deer before crashing. Yet, days later,Former Greece Police Sgt. Bryan Root says he was concerned about a potential cover-up and decided to take photos of the mangled SUV. A few years later, he's filed a lawsuit against the Town of Greece, claiming those actions led to years of retaliation.
