Of 34 active wildland fires burn in the Ontario's northeast region, 26 are being observed
As 34 active wildland fires burn in the Ontario's northeast region today, fire officials were reporting one new fire in the Wawa district.
Of the other fires currently active in the region, six are under control and one is being held. A total of 26 fires are being observed, meaning they do not currently present a risk to people are property.
