Vancouver Greek Film Festival offers seven features and two short films in its program.
the event’s program includes nine contemporary and classic Greek films. The in-person festival is smack dab in the middle of Greek Heritage Month and is a great lead into the return of Greek Day on Broadway on June 26.
The founders of the festival see it as a chance to expand on the idea of Greek art and bring filmgoers into the modern world of Greek cinema. “In particular, Greek cinema has been making breakthroughs in storytelling in recent years, with female directors leading the way. We’re proud to be able to share a curated program that offers a unique chance to discover milestones in Greek cinema.”
