Pittsburgh Steelers' Franco Harris eludes a tackle by Oakland Raiders' Jimmy Warren as he runs 42 yards for a touchdown after catching a deflected pass during an AFC Divisional playoff game in Pittsburgh on Dec. 23, 1972. Harris' scoop of a deflected pass and subsequent run for the winning touchdown — forever known as the "Immaculate Reception" — has been voted the greatest play in NFL history.
Harris, a four-time Super Bowl champion who wore #32 as a running back, died in December. He is cemented in NFL lore for the Immaculate Reception that beat the Oakland Raiders in December 1972. In 1969, Stautner was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, followed by Greene in 1987 and Harris in 1990.
That game was also two-time Super Bowl champion quarterback Ben Roethlisberger’s last before he retired, and his game-worn jersey will be displayed.
