Residents and visitors of Nanaimo and the Comox Valley will soon be able to try out an e-bike, or use it for general commuting., a joint program launched by BCAA and EVO, will launch in Nanaimo for a 12-month public program.
The parking zones will be located in the downtown core, as well as in “key recreational areas,” including Maffeo Sutton Park, Bowen Park, Port Theatre and Brooks Landing Mall. To use one of the e-bikes, people must download the Evo app, and then scan the QR code on an e-bike to unlock it.
