Indigenous Services Minister Patty Hajdu has a couple of new directors in her 18-member office since the July cabinet shuffle, including Jordano Nudo, who’s been promoted to lead the minister’s policy shop. As previously reported, Katharine Heus continues as chief of staff to Hajdu, who is also responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Northern Ontario . Jordano Nudo is director of policy.
He was promoted to the role in June 2022 after close to half a year as an Ontario regional affairs adviser to Hajdu. Prior to joining the minister’s office, he was vice-president of policy and governance for Indigenous Financial Solutions. Couchie is also a former First Nations manager and CEO for the Chippewas of Kettle and Stony Point First Nation, a past policy analyst with the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation, and an ex-natural resources manager for Nipissing First Nation.
