The new charges against Thomas Enrico Iannetti, 28, include four counts of breaching court orders, two counts of assault with a weapon, and single counts of assaulting a police officer, dangerous driving, assault causing bodily harm, assault by choking, unlawful confinement and mischief.At the time of the offences, Iannetti had previously been released on conditions after being charged with over 50 offences.

He is now scheduled to stand trial on charges that include 27 counts of breaching court orders, eight counts of assault, five counts of assault with a weapon, four counts of mischief, four counts of uttering threats and single counts of pointing a firearm, careless use of a firearm, unlawful confinement and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.A sentencing date has been set for a Bras d’Or woman who entered a guilty plea to a charge of impaired driving causing bodily harm.

Ellen Jane Fraser, 44, is now to be sentenced Dec. 12. Other driving offences were dismissed after the guilty plea was entered.A preliminary hearing is now scheduled for January for a Sydney Mines man charged with trafficking.
