The committee is still waiting on more documents and it may begin issuing subpoenas in the coming weeks, according to Reps. Bennie Thompson and Liz Cheney , the committee’s chair and co-chair respectively. Cheney said there is “a lot… of investigative work” behind the scenes as the panel prepares to hold more hearings, adding that there will be “very clear, aggressive and serious progress over the coming weeks” on subpoenaing witnesses.
