Four vehicles were involved in the collisions on the Trans-Canada Highway west of Moncton

KINNEAR SETTLEMENT, N.B. — A 25-year-old New Brunswick man is dead after a truck blew its tire and caused a multi-vehicle crash in Kinnear Settlement, N.B., on Aug. 29.Police believe the crash happened when a truck travelling west on the highway blew a tire, lost control, crossed over the middle of the road and hit a vehicle travelling east.

Another crash took place shortly after when one of the truck tires hit the windshield of another vehicle travelling eastbound.The driver of the first vehicle that was hit, a 25-year-old man, was taken to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The driver of the second vehicle involved in the crash suffered non-life-threatening injuries, while the drivers in the third and fourth vehicles were not injured.The investigation is ongoing.
