A 35-year-old man from New Brunswick was arrested as part of a drug trafficking investigation in Caraquet, N.B. — via TheGrowthOp cannabiscommunity cannabisculture cannabisnews
Following a raid on a Fredericton apartment, police seized 5.5 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, 0.5 kilograms of cocaine, multiple restricted firearms, a significant sum of cash, 6.3 kilograms of cannabis and quantities of hydromorphone, oxycodone, morphine, acid, psilocybin, methylphenidate and lorazepam.
In addition to the controlled substances, police also seized a number of weapons, including five handguns, two rifles, a shotgun, ammunition, a Taser and brass knuckles.In a statement, the police force noted it is engaged with other law enforcement agencies and partners in the Atlantic Methamphetamine Strategy, an effort meant to curb the importation, production, sale and distribution of methamphetamine and its precursors in the region.
Earlier this month, on the other side of the country, RCMP officers arrested three people following an investigation into anOfficers seized 180 kilograms of cannabis from the address in a residential neighbourhood, as well as 900 grams of methamphetamine and a Smith & Wesson handgun. As a result of the investigation, three people have been charged, including a 39-year-old woman and two men, aged 54 and 68.
Each of the accused has been charged with unlawfully possessing cannabis for purposes of distribution and unlawfully possessing cannabis for purposes of selling it, in addition to other charges.Share this Story:
