A newly released trailer for Disney+'s upcoming show, The Book of Boba Fett, teases"master assassin" Fennec Shand working alongside Boba on Tatooine. A spin-off from the popular Stars Wars show, The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett follows the infamous bounty hunter as he takes over territory once controlled by Jabba the Hutt.
Fennec made her Star Wars debut in season 1, episode 5, of The Mandalorian,"The Gunslinger." In the episode, she is sought by Din Djarin and an opportunistic bounty hunter, Toro Calican, the latter of whom shoots her and seemingly leaves her for dead in the desert of Tatooine. However, season 2 of The Mandalorian reveals that Fennec was actually saved by Boba and had parts of her body replaced with cybernetics.
For now, it's hard to tell what exactly fans can expect from The Book of Boba Fett, with the criminal underworld post-Empire being a relatively unexplored concept in the Star Wars cinematic universe. It'll be interesting to see which direction show creators choose to go in with Fennec and if she will stay loyal to Boba after he seizes Jabba's throne.
