A new barber school is coming to Plano.
The business will be located in a 2,500-square-foot space at 3304 Coit Road, Suite 700, according to city documents.
Owner Loai “Lu” Aqrabawi has run a barbershop in Carrollton for the last three years, according to a letter he sent to the Plano City Council. In his letter, Aqrabawi said he’s opening the school because of the number of people in Texas interested in pursuing a career as a barber. He also said he wants to offer a school that is strongly managed and provides a quality education.The project aligns with the city’s Comprehensive Plan, a document that guides zoning decisions and economic development in Plano, city documents state.
