‘There is a huge void in Sudbury for all ages shows, making it hard for young musicians to want to form a band,’ says organizer
The first in the concert series takes place at the Ukrainian Federation Hall Sept. 9 starting at 6 p.m. “DTF is local while the other two bands are from Barrie, Ont.,” said an email from the organizer. “The genre for this show is hardcore . With this new concert series, we aim to give the younger generation of musicians and music fans the chance to play and attend live shows in a safe space free of drugs and alcohol.
“There is a huge void in Sudbury for all ages shows, making it hard for young musicians to want to form a band … There will be security present to ensure the safety of everyone attending as well as snacks for sale.” Future dates for the concert series have not yet been determined, although there’s an intention to hold more concerts in October and November.
