Clay County held a news conference today discussing the annual fair and what to know ahead before going.
Clay County Sheriff Cook announced there will be a new safety plan in action during the fair.If people are planning on going to the fair they are advised to come in early.The traffic might increase but police will try their best to keep it moving. It is expected for 120,000 people to be going to the fair for the next 11 days.
Sheriffs office said they have a comprehensive traffic plan to add additional message boards throughout the county. Clay County Emergency Management said their public works crew has been working to create new parking lanes to prevent instances like when the cars got stuck due to rainfall last year.
