Brett and Karina Rigby decided to eat and review every entry for the website
Burgers for breakfast, lunch and dinner might sound like a child's fantasy. For one Nelson couple, it became a feat of gastronomic endurance.
The pair decided to tackle the burger mountain for their community website The Kootenay Current, which they started earlier this year. Not content to just eat the burgers and cast their votes, the Rigbys carefully reviewed and ranked each one.“We weren't just eating the burgers. We were writing notes on them. We were doing video reviews, and we were writing articles for our website. So this whole thing was actually an enormous amount of work, especially to do it in such a short time.
Even though they were eating an intimidating quantity of burgers, Karina said they never tired of the meals and were impressed by the variety of choices. They especially enjoyed entries that highlighted local ingredients. Now that they've conquered Mount Burger, the Rigbys say they are going to take a break from eating burgers for the foreseeable future.
