THUNDER BAY – The provincial NDP is expected to nominate former MPP Judith Monteith-Farrell to run in Thunder Bay-Atikokan .
Monteith-Farrell held the seat from 2018 to 2022, but was defeated after four years in office by Conservative Kevin Holland. The party, in a letter to supporters, said they plan to acclaim Monteith-Farrell on Tuesday, during a virtual meeting with party faithful.Holland and the Conservatives have confirmed he plans to seek re-election in the next provincial elections.The NDP’s Lise Vaugeois is seeking re-election in Thunder Bay-Superior North. None of the other parties have officially announced candidates at this time.
