The National Basketball Association fined the Atlanta Hawks $100,000 for listing Trae Young as out of a game on Nov. 12 when he was capable of playing. The fine was for a violation of the league's player participation policy.

However, the investigation concluded that Young could have played in the game. The league's policy requires star players to participate in all national television and NBA In-Season Tournament games unless a team provides an approved reason.

Additionally, the NBA fined Sacramento coach Mike Brown $35,000 for aggressively pursuing a game official during a game against the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday
